Voice the Constitution In-Person
The Great Collaboration (see TheGreatCollaboration.org) was the name the Founding Fathers gave to the effort to write the Constitution of the United States.
In conjunction with the Nederland Community Library's U.S. Constitution display in the foyer assembled by the DAR, a local Nederland couple will present "Voice the Constitution". This is an out loud, non-partisan community reading of the U.S. Constitution. Including all of the amendments, the Constitution takes one hour to read aloud.
The text is divided up onto 4x6 cards, and readers each get a set to read. Please register in advance so we know how many readers we will have.
After the reading, there will be a short discussion period, and patriotic desserts!
