Interesting Hikes in the Nederland Area with Pete Jarvis In-Person
Join veteran hiker and author Pete Jarvis as he presents some of his favorite local hiking choices for each season, and delves into some of the stories that go with them. To say Nederland is an awesome base camp for day hikers is an understatement. With so much great hiking so close by, it's good to know the best places. Wherever you go, the stories abound: of history, geology, etymology, wildlife, and more. Bring your curiosity, and get ready to write your own stories by going out and hiking these amazing trails!
Pete Jarvis began his explorations at age three in the wooded ravine that was his backyard in Seattle and began a lifelong hiking and writing habit. The author has hiked the Cascades and Olympics as a youth and later the Pyrenees, Alps, Himalayas, and Andes. His career brought Pete to Colorado in the 1990s; its gravity and beauty continue to captivate him.
